Posted: 09 Dec 2020 06:42 AM PST The Empire factions always get steamrolled and/or absorbed into Battania/Khuzait in my games and it seems it's because all their clans just abandon the Empire and join these other factions. Which makes no sense given they're a different culture, and supposedly uncivilised barbarians. Also some of these factions have pretty deep-rooted rivalries, and should probably never be joining each other? EDIT: Also if people of one Culture/Faction defect to another Culture/Faction and then get left in charge of their holdings/become quite powerful - then they should conspire and all defect back. Like in my game all of the Empire settlements are still owned by Empire culture people... it's just they all swear fealty to the Battanians. But they should really be conspiring to declare their independence and go back to being part of their respective Empire factions. [link] [comments] | ||

| TIL Vlandians like it when you're nice (and when you're not Derthert) Posted: 08 Dec 2020 08:22 PM PST TL;DR, don't be like Derthert, become King of Vlandia Last few playthroughs I'd mostly dicked around with being a mercenary, and eventually trying (and failing) to create my own kingdom. Recently reinstalled Bannerlord to tide me over until Cyberpunk, and been running around with a mod that adds extra troops and new items, many of which are Vlandian themed. So, this is gonna be my Vlandia playthrough. That's cool. Fast forward two in-game years later. I'm only clan tier 4, but I managed to get two cities early on. Spent the whole game letting enemy nobles go instead of taking them prisoner so I have friends in every faction, including Vlandia (when I was a merc and had to fight them). We're now in a war with the Khuzait, the only other truly powerful faction on the map. Most other factions have had a few clans desert and join Vlandia as either mercs or vassals. We have a fighting chance against the mounted archer empire. Derthert dies. I don't know how--probably running away from horse archers, the coward--and there's a vote for the new king. I'm panicking, I was planning to marry Derthert's daughter and usurp the throne as soon as he kicked it, but hadn't gotten around to wooing her yet. But! I had influence in spades after slaughtering countless Sturgian warbands. Maybe I could swing the vote if I'm a candidate-- Turns out I didn't have to. 99% of Vlandians voted for me without me spending a single point of influence. Turns out nobles actually DON'T enjoy Derthert constantly gifting their hard-won fiefs to himself. They couldn't wait to elect a decent person to the throne. | Posted: 09 Dec 2020 09:59 AM PST I am a lord that leads a party of 250 units, i have 2 towns, a castle, multiple caravans, multiple parties that do my bidding, i shouldn't have to be thinking about if i have enough charcoal or spending time resting so a smith learns a new part design. I want to walk into smithy, chose a design, pay the money, (optionally be told to come back in X days) and just get my weapon. So any mod for that? Thank you. [link] [comments] | ||

Thwt said, the game looks really good and I like listening to the sound track. Do you feel the game is close enough to release or does that still feel a long way off? Main points for me: 1) Units loadout and stats aren't liable to change radically 2) Mechanics aren't going to be overhauled and ruin my playthroughs 3) Marriage, family, and inheritance mechanics work properly and have depth Thank you. Posted: 08 Dec 2020 02:05 PM PST Well in the older games, your troops pushed you around and you could'nt do anything about it and in bannerlord, your troops have to move around you and i just love that. In mount and blade, my calve charges were lame because my Calvary troops pushed my out of the way becuase my horse wasn't fast enough lol. [link] [comments] | ||

I've got a friend that wants to get WB on console because it's on game pass but I'm having trouble finding a video that explains the sandbox mechanics well. Can anyone help?
