So focus points and attributes do the exact same thing? Am I missing something?

Attribute points increase the learning cap and learning speed, focus points increase the learning cap and learning speed? Why do they both do the same thing?

    Marriage and relations with Nobles

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 09:15 AM PST

Does marrying the family member of a realm's vassal increase relations with that vassal? Or, in a more generalized question, does it matter who I marry? I've been courting several ladies, and am wondering if there's any benefit to marrying one over the other. In other words, I'm asking if I should get married as soon as can be, or if there is benefit to picking specific one?

Prophesy Of Pendor, A Cavalry Guide

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 02:09 AM PST

I don't know if people are still playing PoP, but I remember it still being very big a year ago so I will assume there are. I Have been trying out army builds and looking up stats recently, and for those who still don't know how to build their army or have quesions about it, this may help. I will mainly focus on cavalry.

First of all, to go against what other people say, do NOT recruit adventurers early in your game. They are way too squishy for their price, and use a CROSSBOW which is way worse than a handbow when used on horseback, especially by AI. When it comes to hero adventurers, these are actually worth their price as they are insane units (even though it's a LOT to pay early in your campaign) but don't recruit adventurers to upgrade them because it takes a long time and most of your adventurers will die. Also, don't get mercenary cav because they are good with throwing weapons and got good armor but for their INSANE price you can get so much better stuff

My advice at the very beginning is to sell everything you don't need, including food, get yourself a lance, a bow and a 2h blunt weapon (highwaymen drop these quite often). Just kill a bunch of looters like that and get 100% of the loot for yourself. You can still get lethaldiran and hero adventurers later when you got yourself some stats and money.

Now to start the actual guide: For low cost cavalry, go for singalian and snake cult units. Both of these are VERY cheap and actually extremely good at what they do. The cobra warriors have recently been updated, they can now come with shields and throwing weapons, and their armor is suprisingly strong, making them a very reliable cavalry for a crazy cheap price. The singalian horsemen are not as strong and though in melee but they are decent horsearchers which once again makes them worth way more than their price. Their previous tier units (the singalian spearmen and snake cult armsmen) are also extremely cost-effective. D'shar outlaw chieftains also deserve a mention here.

To get into the mid-tier gameplay and units, I recommend a few things: Veccavi knights are a cav unit with high proficiencies and great weapons and armor. Rogue blackheart knights are amazing, cheap-hero-adventurer-like units with good armor and some amazing weapons, just hope they don't spawn with only lance, shield and bow because they will get killed in close combat. Heretic magni are very decent cavalry as well. All of the noble knights (except maybe the fierdsvain hesir) and the rogue state knights are very good with high tier armor, for the rogue knights you can get very lucky or very unlucky with the weapons they spawn with. The jatu units also deserve to be mentioned here. I will mention maiden adventurers here, but only because they upgrade into the amazing maiden nobles with crazy stats, armor and weapons. Last but not least, if you ever see OMEN SEEKERS in a prisoner stack, get them. They are a relatively cheap VERY strong unit with great stats and weapons, just don't let them get suck between polearm infantry as their horses are weak.

That's it for my guide. Sadly there is little place for heavy cav in the lategame as the main focus will be sieges. You can always put them in your castle/ruins if you wanna keep them around. Have fun!

[Bannerlord] Mod idea involving minor factions

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 06:33 AM PST

Couldn't think of a good title.

Okay so basically, we're all familiar with these Hidden Hand and eletheroi arseholes, and some of us have gone out of our way to execute some of them in early playthroughs.

Now, we're keeping the peace, executing what are basically bandit clans, and yet, lords hate us when we kill them?

If I help a lord capture 3 Hidden Hand 'Nobles' or whatever they class themselves, they say thanks and you get +1 reputation, but as soon as you execute these pesty bandits, that +1 turns into a -20?

Now what-if, just what-if, someone made a mod that made this -20 a 0? Good idea, huh? What if we could slaughter every Hidden Hand and eletheroi bandit lord that waltzed past our caravans then captured them, or slaughtered our peasants from villages not too far yonder?

If a mod like this exists plz link i dont wanna make myself enemies with every single lord just for the chance my caravan will last longer

    Quartermaster only feasible on yourself?

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 09:56 AM PST

So just jumped back in after a long hiatus and i encountered a slight annoyancethere are no Wanderer that have steward leveled decided to instead just take somebody that already had points in intelegince due to being a surgeonYhea well he requires 11k skill points for his next level up so that wont workActualy that seems to be the case for all companions so i dont think i would be able to raise any of the skills they need for their clan role to over 200
So are clan roles just so full combat builds dont loose to much or did i just not find any actualy usefull wanderer?

    The Underlying Force

    Is there a beginner guide?

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 08:44 AM PST

Soooo ya, sorry to ask something here, but I didnt see any megathread and the FAQ didnt answer all of my questions.

For reference, im like 30 mins into the game.

Like, what do I do with my prisoners? I can recruit them, but apparently just one? Do I ransom them?

Whats crime rate and how do I get it down?

Do I sell items I plundered and dont need? Or ist that not recommended?

Im sure plenty more will come...

    Do Enemy Armies Still Teleport?

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 04:26 AM PST

Last time I played Bannerlord, enemy armies would teleport just outside of your view while you were besieging a castle. Has this been changed, either officially or with a mod?

Edit: as per this post earlier this year https://www.reddit.com/r/mountandblade/comments/g1jpqe/i_just_discovered_army_stacks_literally_manifest/

After you help a claimant to regain his/her Kingdom do the wars with others factions reset?

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 02:02 AM PST

For example: I help the claimant of Swadia. While we are part of Swadia rebels the Kingdom of Swadia is at war with Rhodoks (classic). After I finish the quest the Swadia rebels faction becomes the Kingdoms of Swadia. Question is: Does the war with the Rhodoks carry over if the leadership is changed?
