I really hope that in Bannerlord we can built reputations based on your skills/build

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 05:32 AM PST

In Warband, and from what I've read about Bannerlord, you build reputation based only on your in-game actions, either by helping NPCs, or killing bandits, or bribing, etc etc. I really love the idea of another form of reputation for your character that is based on your main attributes and combat feats. Are you playing with a character that has a ton of Strength and has a lot of proficiency with certain weapons? NPCs call you "strong" or "monster" or some kind of nickname that you can also get to choose when your reputation threshold reaches that certain point. The same for a good archer, or a good horse rider. And those nicknames can have a few effects, like for example if you are known for your use of a two-handed zweihander, some enemies will run, or cower, or if you are known to be a very good diplomat, then NPCs/soldiers will try to protect you at all costs because you are an important influencing personality for example.

I don't expect from such a system (if it was present) to be a core mechanic, but mostly something that gives that nice flavor to your role-playing. Do you remember Game of Thrones? (of course you do). Wouldn't you like to make your flamboyant one handed sword user have a reputation similar to that of Jaime Lannister's? Or also, your monstrous STR two handed greatsword behemoth be feared for his monstrous battle power like Gregor Clegane and have people call you with nicknames or their dialogues showing certain attitudes towards you? Are you honorable with lots of charisma? You are called "the honorable" and you are somewhat like Ned Stark, with people trusting you more, and dying for you in battle.

    You get the idea.

How can TaleWorlds afford to pay their employees?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 09:40 AM PST

They only have one game, and the last DLC came in 2012, seven years ago. Presumably Bannerlord has been in active development since then, and that is costly. How can a 2010 game+DLC current sales be enough to pay everybody's salary?

whoever decided that the zann partys just spawn inside the cities they siege and should move faster than most players is not smart, three groups wouldn't stop chasing me so I got attacked 8 times in a row by 300+ horse archers until it forced a auto calc which I lost in

    Tournament question

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 08:35 PM PST

So I completed my first tournament earlier today in Swadia. Loved it, it was awesome, bet 100 denars every chance I could. Well I liked the tournament so much I sought out another. Currently in the nord tournament, I love how the tournament matches are different for each kingdom. But I'm noticing the betting isn't as high. The odds aren't as bad against me. Is it different in each kingdom or has my fame made me less of an underdog?

[AWOIAF] How to get Qohor Black Goat Helmet?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 06:44 AM PST

I got my relations with Qohor positive enough so I could access their faction armor, but the faction armorer only sells shit and doesn't even sell the armor which Qohor troops use.
I have not seen any towns sell the black Goat helmet, nor have any of the travelling merchants had it on them for sale.

Is the Lord of the Rings mod compatible with M&B Fire & Sword?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 05:52 AM PST

The ModDB page just has two files, one for vanilla M&B and one for Warband. Would one of those work with F&S? Isn't F&S essentially just Warband but with added content?

Sorry for the newbie question, I've never tried modding M&B before.

Ottoman mods a thing? If so any fleshed out ones?

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 05:21 PM PST

I know Ottoman Scenario is out there, and i've tried it but honestly it seems pretty barebones and there's definitive room for improvement, i know WFAS has something similar, but i'm looking for something focused on Ottomans and the Balkans, which i know OS is the closest i'll get but i'm shooting in the dark and hoping there's some other mod with ottomans, i believe 12th Century the asia mod has a Seljuk faction, who were precursors to the ottomans and the Renaissance Italy mod does have an ottoman faction, but the map of the balkans is completely wrong (Nis Southwest of Sarajevo??!!??) but it seems like the only fleshed out mod with ottomans, i'm just taking a leap and hoping maybe someone knows another mod with ottomans, but at this point i'm desperate enough for an Ottoman mod i'd just start making a mod of my own tbh...

Had a quest to get cattle for a Lord but it was canceled a week early?

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 11:53 PM PST

I did not end the quest and as far as I know I did nothing to upset anyone. A lord wanted me to get some cattle as food for his campaign. But then an election came up, I voted. And then all of the sudden it said quest canceled. What happened? Does a canceled quest hurt honor like failing one? Or anything
