What are the best combination of troops from different Kingdoms?

    Posted: 05 Nov 2019 07:59 AM PST

If we put a 200 unit cap, what are the best combination of troops in your army from different Kingdoms to be well balanced enough to beat castles, cities and land battles?

I mean Swadians has Swadian Knights as cavalry and Nords has Nord Huscarls the best infantry and Khergit or Vaegirs has the best range infantry/range cavalry.

So we put about 50 Swadian Knights and 100 Huscarls and 50 (what type?) of range infantries. Would it be easy to go against Kings in land battles or sieging of a city?

I would really like to know opinions from the pros to build the best well balanced army in MnB Warband.

What determines the lords of a faction (non-player) to defect early in the game?

    Posted: 05 Nov 2019 03:43 AM PST

I really like it when the lord of a faction defects and we get such gems as a Rhodok Wercheg, a Nord Bariyye, or whatever else. So I was wondering if there's a way to motivate lords to do it, either through modding the mod_sys, or through in-game actions. Any ideas?

question about quests in MB warband

    Posted: 05 Nov 2019 07:33 AM PST

today I started playing warband again and I was noticed that I could walk around and steal tax money from tax collection quests. Now I had the plan to go to "rivalling" kingdom to befriend those lords and steal all there tax money (I dont have to pay them back if I beat them in war right?).

the thing is now that I dont know when I do get those tax quests, is that random or do those missions have a cooldown?

also why do so many lords reject my question for quests is that because I have to little renown? would they give me quests if I had more, also when I keep questing for one will I eventually get that tax question?

    thank you

    Input Delay in Bannerlord

    Posted: 05 Nov 2019 08:26 AM PST

Hi all, I've been playing the closed Beta for almost a week now, experimenting and getting a feel for the game. I've had 1 major concern that I've experienced with the game, and it seems to me like my friend also feels the same way. Maybe this issue has to do the fact that we live up North in Canada and there aren't any close servers? But to keep it short, i've experienced constant input delay when swinging or trying to block (upwards of 1 second sometimes). Does anybody else feel this delay and general clunkiness to the game or is it smooth for ya'll? I'm hoping its because we live in the north pole. Cheers!

    Dumb question.

Have seen people talking about the mods they use. Some people make out they use multiple mods at once.

I've always understood it to be you subscribe to a mod in workshop (steam) then select what kind of mod to use before playing.

Can you add mods together somehow?

It got really boring just winning every battle so quickly. And also it is so much more rewarding after the battle!

Does anyone here play the midevil conquest mod?

I have some questions like, if you have a mixed set of soldiers from different factions, will that diminish moral? Im a vassel for the Teutonic order and o have prussians as a few of my men.

My List of Mount and Blade-like games

    Posted: 04 Nov 2019 12:02 PM PST

Hey guys, In the wait for Bannerlord to come out perhaps the mountain of excellent mods isn't enough. Over the years I've noticed several games with more than just a slight similarity with mount and blade, I would go so far as to say all of the games listed below were very clearly greatly inspired by Mount and blade, and for someone like me who will eat up every ounce of new mount and blade content I'm fine with that.

    • Blood and Gold Carribean! - This one while being a standalone game, is pretty much just a mount and blade mod, it's a little bit janky but it's overall a pretty interesting overhaul, kind of if mount and blade and sid meiers pirates had a baby game together.

    • Freeman: Guerilla Warfare - This is Warband if it took place in a rebellious area in the soviet union, it's not exactly the same but if you watch the trailer you'll see the blaring similarities, this is a mount and blade like game but with guns.

    • Veil of Crows - This game bears many similarities to mount and blade but has a different combat system that is more akin to RTS games, still if you watch the trailer you'll see what I mean.

    • Hyper Knights - This one is strange, it's like if mount and blade was remade as an indie arcade style game, it features a similar premise of taking your warband to conquer the world but does it in a little bit of a different way. It does however include a really cool feature that mount and blade does not, if you engage in a battle somewhere on a map near other enemy parties or allied ones, they continue moving towards you and if your battle is not over within the time it takes for the other parties to approach, they join the battle. This would be cool to see in mount and blade but may be impossible to be modded in.

    • Glorious Companions - Though to a lesser extent this game too features some similarities, including a world map where your party moves while other visible enemy groups roam around.

And that's the list, hope it helps some of you find something to waste more time on, I can't attest to the quality of all these games but I can say they are more similar than the majority of these recomendation lists you'll see floating around.

    Enjoy! :)
