    How to level companions faster?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 07:21 AM PST

I have 9 companions at level 17. They're all the same level because they're doing a training circlejerk so when one levels up, they all level up shortly.

However, they're leveling up pretty slowly. I have them one horses with lances because I thought it would be a reliable way to get 1-2 kills per battle. Unfortunately, they all just charge once then sit stationary next to the enemy, hitting them with their lance. I also gave them each a one handed weapon, but they're too stupid to use them.

Any advice to level them faster? I want to be able to train armies quickly, so I need them at high levels to train better troops. I don't want to invest very many points into strength because I'm mainly using them for training and party skills.

    Mods for better early game?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 08:27 AM PST

I want to start a new game and I'd like to stay in the early game longer than usual, fight bandits and other neutral groups, do quests tournaments etc, maybe become a mercenary but maybe not. What mods do you recommend to make it fun? I don't want to endlessly keep killing looters.

I've heard of that custom spawns mod and I will definitely install it. I need some custom groups I can fight which aren't tied to any faction so I can have interesting fights while remaining a commoner.

What other mods do you recommend to enhance the early game? Are there any mods for more quest or just more things to do in cities or villages, more interactions etc?

Are there any mods for better ways of making money without being a part of any faction? Eventually I could become a mercenary but not stay like that for longer. I think I will be switching my allegiance frequently so I can try different wars, different fronts and troops. What I don't like in Bannerlord is that I lose my workshops when the war starts against the faction that holds the city. Is there any way to just make it show "under sequestration" until the war is over, like in Warband? What cool mods for income do you recommend, that aren't ridiculously OP?

Mount and Blade Bannerlord: Legend of Griff #2

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 09:16 AM PST

Why can't they make the lord's hall more customizable?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 08:10 AM PST

I mean I don't expect complete customization, but it doesn't seem to be difficult to make it like the Witcher 3 or Skyrim style. Now it feels empty and boring when it should be my house!!

    Is this intended?(bannerlord)

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 12:42 AM PST

Both northern and southern empire dissolved and join the western empire after Lucon and Rheagaea death, both of them still have cities, castle and lots of clans. I find this weird and scary as I play anti empire faction(valandia), they are now so big they almost annihilate the khuzaits after just a few years of unification and the main quest marker shows -100% vs western empire, what does the quest marker means? Am I failing the quest?

How to prevent Bannerlord from updating and still play?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 10:18 AM PST

I've finally got my game setup with just the essential mods that I like, but I know eventually an update will get released that will break the state of my game and my save until the mods get updated. Is there any way to bypass this issue? I'd really like to get into a playthrough without having to scratch it whenever an update drops :(

[FLORIS] Which lords most often become marshals?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 03:58 AM PST

Many times when enlisting in a lord's army in Floris I end up sitting around doing nothing for 10 minutes as the lord I enlisted in decides that he "can do greater deeds" and decides not to follow the marshal around to battles. Obviously the solution to this problem would be to enlist in the marshal's army instead and I've noticed that Reland and Aeric are often the marshals for the Rhodoks and Nords respectively. I'm wondering if anyone here can share their experience of the game/ knowledge of the game files in order to pre-determine which lords to enlist in to see more action.

    PSA: Archers win wars

    Posted: 16 Dec 2020 01:32 PM PST

I know this is obvious for a lot of you but I thought it would be helpful for some people. Archers can kill the enemy without being killed. Duh. But this has big implications for fighting wars, especially mid-game. If you have 100 infantry vs 100 infantry, you can probably win, but you might lose quite a few guys. Let's say 10-15. Then the next time you come across 100 infantry you're more outnumbered and you lose even more, maybe 15-30. It goes on and on until you've lost your whole army in a handful of battles.

Archers trade a lot more efficiently. If you have maybe 80 archers and 20 infantry vs 100 infantry, those archers could shred the enemy before they ever reached you, meaning that you get a lot of free damage in and will lose far fewer units. On top of this, because archers usually survive battle so they level quickly instead of constantly getting whittled down like infantry. This survivability is really important when you're fighting a war and don't have time to constantly recruit to replace lost soldiers.

Also, put them in loose formation so more of them can fire. If the ground is level, put them in front of the infantry and pull them back at the last minute. If there's a good hill, put them on top of that.

The biggest downside I've found is in the late game when you're regularly fighting large battle of around 1000 vs 1000. They will run out of arrows and become useless in the second half of the battle. It's somewhat of an exploit but you can get around this by trading efficiently once or twice against the enemy, retreating from the battle, and then re-entering.

Mod for more diverse unit types available in villages?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 02:17 AM PST

I get bothered by not being able to find the units I want to recruit after many days of searching. Ideally, I would like to be able to find imperial equities and high born youths much easier (Like in village recruitments, just more often) than ranking forest bandits or finding the right villages with equities, which would only have one or rarely two units. Is there a mod that increases the diversity of unit types in villages? After doing some digging I have been unable to find anything yet. Help would be greatly appreciated!
