TaleWorlds is hosting a creative competition in which you can win some prizes!

    Link to original post

    Greetings warriors of Calradia!

By now, you've probably heard that we recently shared the first batch of modding tools. We are really excited by the initial reaction and blown away by many of the amazing creations that have already been shared on our modding forums and the community modding Discord!

To celebrate this key milestone, and to show our appreciation of the creative talent within our community that has long supported our games, we've decided to host an event with some pretty substantial prizes up for grabs thanks to our friends at Intel!

First up, we have a Scene Design Contest where entrants will need to create a village scene using the Scene Editor tools in the Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord - Modding Kit. Now, we know that this might sound like a bit of a daunting task, so we went ahead and prepared a Scene Design Contest FAQ detailing all of the information you need on how to access the tools all the way through to submitting your scene, including a handy checklist for ensuring your scene contains all of the relevant elements. When the contest ends, all of the submissions will then be released publicly to be used by our modding community for inclusion in various Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord modifications.

    Scene Design Contest Prizes:

1st Place - BANNERLORD CUSTOM PC by Intel®

    2nd Place - Intel® NUC 9 Extreme Kit

    3rd Place - Intel® Core™ i7-8700K Processor

Next, we have a 2D Art Contest where entrants will need to submit an original piece of Bannerlord themed 2D art. All kinds of works will be accepted, be it a painting, a hand-drawn sketch, or digital art, so please feel free to get involved using whichever format works best for you! Details on how to enter the competition can be found in the 2D Art Contest FAQ.

    2D Art Contest Prizes:

    1st Place - Intel® NUC 9 Extreme Kit

    2nd Place - Intel® Core™ i7-8700K Processor

3rd Place - Mount & Blade II Custom Razer Gigantus V2 Large Mouse Pad

And finally, if scening or drawing isn't for you, we have a Screenshot Contest where entrants are challenged to share a single screenshot alongside a caption describing the event. For this contest, we want entrants to imagine themselves as a war reporter and capture an iconic moment from their adventures. Details on the rules and requirements can be found in the Screenshot Contest FAQ.

    Screenshot Contest Prizes:

10x Mount & Blade II Custom Razer Gigantus V2 Large Mouse Mat

Entries for each contest are open from now up until 23.59 UTC+3 on December 11th, with the winners being announced shortly after.

We look forward to seeing what you all come up with and wish you the best of luck!

    Swadian armoury mod for bannerlord

    Posted: 10 Nov 2020 05:22 AM PST

Please don’t nerf units for “balance” purpose, just make them historically accurate.

    Posted: 11 Nov 2020 08:30 AM PST

Human history itself is well balanced isn't it? Why my heavy cavalries are charging the enemy line with only 10% of them crouching their lances? If you want to make the game balanced, don't nerf the cavalry, make them harder to obtain and train, more expensive to maintain, and let pikemen actually use pikes not spears. When the game is closer to history and reality, it is more tactically and strategically balanced automatically, which is what we need. Anyone second this?

Slayed 42 tundra bandits solo using only patience and horseback archery. Received 26 renown, lots of good loot (like two Balanced Nomad Sabres), 1692 denars and 2395 experience points (after battle) and 124 per bandit. Sold all loot for 1223 denars. 92% difficulty (normal damage). Very satisfying.

I drew an expanded map for Mount and Blade based of the games and clues from characters and locations!

So this perk is OP in Battanian tournaments because it works with two-handed weapons too. Thought I would report this bug.

Anyone who wants to play co op warband or bannerlord with me?

    Posted: 11 Nov 2020 11:25 AM PST

I am not sure if bannerlord already has a co-op mod, but yeah basically non of my friends play the mount and blade series and I would love to play someone.
The reason non of my friends play the mount and blade series is because I dont have any friends

Is there any breakthrough for content with the modtool yet?

    Posted: 11 Nov 2020 01:52 AM PST

I played my 50 hours on release but got bored over time with the limited content available. With the modtool released, is it worth to have look or should I wait?

Is it possible to edit files to make factionless parties neutral?

    Posted: 11 Nov 2020 03:44 AM PST

Hello, I've been playing 16th century mod and I'm tired of being chased by 500 North American Bandit party. Is it possible to edit factionless parties (Like Bandits) to be neutral (Don't attack unless they are attacked)? Because other parties like Ikko-ikki and African parties are just like that

Will there ever be steam workshop support for bannerlord?

    Posted: 11 Nov 2020 07:18 AM PST

    STEEL

    Posted: 11 Nov 2020 12:37 AM PST

I'm around 102 in smiting, my problem is that I chose the perk to learn new designs faster rather than the one which I can refine steel and im running out of it fast. I need a lot of it in my pursue of the javelin design that will make me rich. (1st question) Is there anyway I can smelt if out if a weapon and if there is which one? I was thinking of getting a companion with smiting but I can't find one right now around almost 200 days in game. So I thought I would train my brother in smiting enough till he can refine steel would that be a good idea or is there any other way? Sorry for the long post. I'll appreciate any suggestion ty all!

Is there any line battles happening in Bannerlord ?

    Posted: 11 Nov 2020 04:26 AM PST

    Hi !

I find multiplayer games pretty messy, but i love the idea of line battles because it's more... well strategic, epic ....

I was looking on youtube for line battles videos on Bannerlord and i didn't find any !

I was pretty surprised because i love watching those on M&B or Holdfast and it is pretty common on YT
I'm wondering, do clans exist on the game ? Do they organise line battles ? Are there videos hidden somewhere ?

    Finding campanions quickly work around

    Posted: 10 Nov 2020 09:14 PM PST

So if you're like me and many other and can never find your companions even when you travel to where it says they were last seen you can appoint them to governor of one of your fiefs. From there click their picture and select take hero to party.

    Hanging lag when auto saving

    Posted: 10 Nov 2020 10:27 PM PST

    Hey Everyone,

Since 1.52 I've been getting like mini freezes when it autosaves or I try to click across the map. But I have 120fps in battle and dont seem to have any trouble running the game otherwise. Is this a known bug or is there a fix?

    Bannerlord - Next milestones discussion.

    Posted: 10 Nov 2020 04:40 PM PST

Bannerlord is such an amazing game already and has made a long way since early access first launched. That being said, I feel like there is still plenty of content missing from the base game which will really help this game take off. I love all the progress and content the game already has, but wanted to make a post to see what others are looking forward to. Some of this may be mods to come along later, but I think the base game will eventually cover it.

    For me: Feasts

    Weddings

Commanding troops on the map to defend, attack, patrol certain fiefs

Negotiating truces with substantial impact to kingdoms that break them either financially or reputation wise.

(Mod) create a custom troop tree for your own culture after creating your own kingdom.

And then just more development work making the weapons differences more unique and impactful.

Again, love the game so far and can't wait to see what the future holds!! What else are you all looking forward to?
