Great news - All Bannerlord units are being vaccinated for Coronavirus

What kind of character do you want to roleplay as in bannerlord? What kinda story do you want to tell?

    Posted: 24 Mar 2020 08:11 AM PDT

I personally wanna start in Sturgia, trade some furs, gain a few followers, but my character (hereby known as MC) wants some adventure, to make a name for himself. So he and his followers leave the frozen north and travel to the empire. Do they do honest work? LOL no. They raid, Rob and pillage, till they reach the cities of the empire, where they soon get involved in organized crime.

MC does their jobs, kills who they tell him to, takes whatever he can, that is till he gets sick of it. Having grown a larger following he kills those he takes orders from and takes over their businesses. Sinking his funds into purchasing more legitimate businesses as well as securing his hold on the underworld.

In doing so he makes connections, fights as a mercenary in the Imperial army where he masters how to command troops and continues to grow his own forces, when not out fighting he is continuing to kill his rivals in the underworld and buying up more businesses.

After a long time away, having built up his own pseudo-empire through his domination of the Imperial criminal networks and connections with powerful individuals within the empire, he returns to his savage homeland with a force of professional soldiers, and takes on the role of a mercenary in the king of Sturgia's army. With the aim of becoming a Lord, and sparking a civil war to become the king of Sturgia. He will then begin to expand, conquering the Nords and Battarians, before launching an assault against the so-called "civilized" kingdoms of Calradia, where his barbarian hordes will sweep across Calradia like a merciless plague. Putting all to the sword and torch till all recognize him as the one true king of all of Calradia.

Of course this is very VERY long term plan, and will probably be reset multiple times as new updates come out, and of course the final part of him becoming king won't be possible till the nessecary updates come out to allow for kingdom management and the like. But that's how I wanna roleplay in bannerlord.

    What about you guys?

Was supposed to conquer the world, but well, there was one lord that would always crash in battle. So... see ya in Bannerlord!

    Been travelling 6 months...

    Posted: 24 Mar 2020 07:25 AM PDT

So as the title says, my travelling has been cut short and I arrive home on the 27th.... I have at least two weeks isolation.

I don't want to be that guy... but I honestly am greatful. Fate has bought me home just in time for Bannerlord. It's almost harvesting season.

    A-week-away, a-week-away, a-week-away, a-week-away,

I'm pretty sure we will see mods that will make people buy the game, simply to play that mod.

    Posted: 23 Mar 2020 07:20 PM PDT

Like from my understanding the level of modding they can do is insane.

Warband was great, don't get me wrong but it was limited, which is okay because it was old. But with this, people can more or less recreate EVERYTHING in high detail, imagine the starwars mods? the GoT mods? Completely made up fantasy mods.

I hope I don't get a lot of hate for this statement, but I think this game will be defined by its modding community and the base game (while amazing) will be its vessel, the possibilities are incredible, I truly believe this series is the end all be all for any fan of battles of this scale.

I am just so pumped up for this, I remember my first mod, the battle of thermopylae for the original mount and blade and it was so fucking crazy to me, that a battle like that was happening and I was participating, it just blew my mind, and thats when I realized M&B was my favorite game.

    Ya know something I've noticed?

    Posted: 23 Mar 2020 07:58 PM PDT

When you fight a lord's army and defeat them, if you capture them, you always have the choice to either to imprison or let them go, but when you're defeated, they always imprison you, even when you're of noble birth and even when the lord has honourable personality.

Additionally, have you noticed how some lords say that despite not being a nobleman, you could eventually make something of yourself, and if you play by the rules, you're ultimately granted the right to carry a banner (who grants this right to a non-affiliated adventurer anyhow?), but when you grant a banner to any of your non-noble followers, everybody loses their shit.
