    Mod Request: Hyborian Age

    Posted: 27 Sep 2020 09:27 AM PDT

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYCYuqOnhLM#menu

I want a mod that takes place in all of Earth in the Hyborian age with all the factions.

    World map:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/MapPorn/comments/agrah4/hyboria_map_from_the_world_of_conan_the_barbarian/

Factions (and their analogies to real world history factions):

    https://conan.fandom.com/wiki/Hyborian_Age

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyborian_Age

I dont think Khitans in the Hyborian age are analogous to the Qidan people because the Qidan people are proto-mongol and therefore would be like the Hyrkanians in the Hyborian age. Also, I think in the Russian language Khitai/Khitan means China/Chinese, so Khitai/Khitan does not necessarily refer to the Qidan people. I don't know much about Qidan culture or history, so maybe I am wrong.

The Khitans in the Hyborian age seem to be analogous to Han chinese because of the city lifestyle and the Great Wall they use to keep the Hyrkanians out.

I think Kergits are equivalent to Hyrkanians because they are horse archers.

    Mount and Trade: Peacelord

Is there any significant changes planned in the future?

    Posted: 27 Sep 2020 01:42 AM PDT

so I came back to the game after 5 months. I was hoping there would be some significant changes to the game, I was disappointed.

the devs seem to have messed with economy somewhat, which is... irrelevant.

I decided to take a break from the game 5 months ago because I realized that player has no impact on the world. you cannot change the tide of war by bringing in elite troops. you cannot change the tide of war by superior tactics (because there is no damn tactics, because there is no proper moral system implemented to allow the tactics to work), and you cannot even win a war by defeat in detail, because there is no perk that specifically boost your map speed significantly.

so over all player has no impact on the world besides being just another NPC that brings slightly above average quality troops into the battle.

in warband the 2 factors that allow player to have a significant impact was, 1. the ability to train elite troops quickly and 2. the ability to outrun just about every enemy in game (defeat in detail, enabled by high level scouts). whereas in this game you basically have no impact on the game.

so is there any significant changes planned for this game to allow player to change the tide of war? because otherwise this game is sorely lacking in this department.

    Nords wont die

    Posted: 27 Sep 2020 05:04 AM PDT

I have seen some posts about this being an old glitch with a fix on PC. I am playing on Xbox since the game came to game pass. I started my own kingdom and I finally hold all of the fiefs but the Nords will not die. I tried reloading several times and I was able to capture the king before I got the last fief. All of the lords have defected at this point but the faction will not die. I tried leaving him in prison for like 3 months then I let him go and waited another 3 or so months. Still nothing, has anyone been able to fix this issue on Xbox or am I SOL? It seems like the king disappeared when I let him go because he has no fiefs and hasn't attacked or even shown up anywhere. I have messenger posts on almost every fief and he didn't show up for at all for the first 2 months or so and then I got a peace offering which I accepted but they still wont die.

A question about attacking while crouching - Bannerlord

    Posted: 27 Sep 2020 04:18 AM PDT

I have recently started playing bannerlord again after a few months break.

I soon noticed the changes to crouching; "Crouching is prevented during an attack in order to prevent unwanted stance switches." (from the 1.4.2 update).

I am dissapointed by this and wondered if anyone knows whether this is a temporary setting or a permanent change? I am dissapointed because I really liked to crouch with a pike and face cav charges Braveheart style.

I am not really sure what the "unwanted stance switches" that are referred to in the changelog are, can anyone give an example?
