So what is the "canon" progression of events from Bannerlord to Warband?

    Posted: 24 Jul 2020 11:10 AM PDT

    1) We know there have been multiple warrior queens from Swadia despite the fact this is only two hundred years in time difference. This sounds plausible if we consider a generation is roughly 20-30 years and the constant warfare within Calradia makes it plausible that Swadian Monarchs come and go. However, its important to note that Harlus refers to them as Swadian specifically, perhaps even suggesting that the transition of Vlandia becoming Swadia had multiple warrior queens within their timeframe.

    2) Battania and the Empire is gone in its totality.

    3) The Aserai become supplanted by the Banu Saran

    4) The Khuzaits become supplanted by the Kherghits.

    5) The Sturgians become the Vaegirs.

    6) Nords invade.

    7) Rhodoks rebel.

Harlus mentions that the warrior queens of Swadia ended poorly for Swadia, where the peoples were defeated. This could potentially explain the loss of land during Warband as mentioned by the wiki.

I think ultimately what we do know is that if there's only a canon ending, it seems that the canon ending happens to be the Empire (and Battania) both end up disintegrating.

Is Bannerlord worth a buy if I didn't like Warband's grind?

    Posted: 24 Jul 2020 09:24 AM PDT

I got Warband and messed around with it because I liked the concept. No other RPG allowed me to build myself up and command armies in the way that Warband did. I wanted to roleplay as a person in the Middle Ages. However, I found this game really grindy to get to the highest levels. All the quests are the same so grinding those were a chore. The battles, while fun, became stale after I curbstomped Looters/Bandits for the 1000th time. The graphics were pretty bad and made the game not very aesthetically pleasing. Maybe I'm just bad and couldn't find a good way to level up well, but that's my story.

I've seen Bannerlord's gameplay and it fixes the "aesthetics" problem I had with the game. The cool armor designs present in Warband combined with more modern graphics makes for a great game to look at. Battles look updated and fun. Character creation at least looks a little better so that my character now resembles a human being instead of a potato goblin with a neck seam. But this brings me to my main problem with Mount and Blade. Is Bannerlord less grindy or does it make grinding more fun? I've seen that it has some updated systems and more enemy/quest variety than before, which might make my experience better.

How can one learn how to mod bannerlord?

    Posted: 24 Jul 2020 07:00 AM PDT

I love this game. And I want to learn how to create mods but I have no programming experience beyond financial models in excel.

I have a small goal of putting together a helpful trader inventory financial statement that allows you to see how much profit you would make selling a good depending on how much or how you obtain said good.

Any tips on how one can begin learning how to mod when one has no modding or programming experience.

Gave my daughter a boys name. Any way I can reverse this mess?

    Posted: 24 Jul 2020 11:55 AM PDT

Didn't know it was going to be a daughter so I gave it a typical Empire name to keep the Rome momentum going. Turns out young "Marius" is a fucking chick.

    Hi

    Posted: 24 Jul 2020 01:42 AM PDT

I'm pretty new at the game and I'm wondering what the best way to progress is, I currently feel like I'm just running around talking to various lords asking for missions, 90% of them saying no to me. I've won a tournament and I have a 30 person troop of basically peasants but no strong ties to any lords.

Any advice would be appreciated as I am enjoying the game so far.

    I am playing warband btw.

How do I improve towns in warband?

    Posted: 24 Jul 2020 09:30 AM PDT

I managed to capture two towns for myself but in one town it says the people are pretty much starving, while the other town is doing really well. I want to improve the town that is not doing well but I'm not sure how it works. I've done quests for the guild master and tried protecting the villages, and the town is doing slightly better, I'm just not sure what triggered it.

If anyone knows how to actually improve it let me know, because right now I'm pretty much missing out on thousands of gold a week.

    Thanks.

What Bannerlord DLC would you be most excited for/want the most?

What setting would you want a DLC to be set in?

Sorry for the limited options, ran out of available ones.

Please tell me there's a way to turn this off. It's really starting to get on my nerves.
