Was doing a report on medieval sieges, fun fact, one of the most commonly used siege tactics was to stand in front of the wall next to an unguarded siege tower, this was in fact one of, if not the most, effect technique!

New Beta branch patch - changelog

    Posted: 06 May 2020 10:20 AM PDT

    • Fixed an issue where newly created characters and other objects could get mixed up with each other. This created instability & possibly crashes. It was also responsible for broken companions and encyclopedia problems. The fix does not recover broken beta save games, but it should resolve the issue for new games. You can test this by checking if newly created characters or other objects have their own appropriate encyclopedia pages instead of another character's or object's page.
    • Fixed a rare crash that occurred when initialising the final phase of the main storyline for Imperial supporters.
    • Fixed a crash that occurred when choosing the "Try to get away" option in an encounter.
    • Fixed a Save & Load related crash that occurred when entering the training field with a companion.
    • Some lords were losing all their money and then starving. This was due to fortification taxes being too low, they have been increased by 25%. Also, NPC clan leaders now react faster to losing money and reduce their garrison sizes before going bankrupt.
    • Council of Commons policy effect was 1 influence per notable in the settlement, it is now 0.1 influence per notable. Also, +1 militia effect per notable is removed.
    • There was no waiting time after captured lords were released; they were spawning at the next daily tick, now they spawn at least 2 days later.
    • Lords spawn with 10% of their party size filled instead of 25%
    • Owners now calculate their settlements' values more conservatively. If there was any hostile action to their fiefs their defence score grew significantly and they and they would go directly there to help. This negatively affected all AI score calculation systems. Additionally, there were other mechanics using this value that were also affected negatively.
    • There was a relation penalty if a settlement was lost between the owner of that settlement and their king. It was settlement value / 20K, now it is square root value of settlement value / 100K, (nearly 10x reduced). For example, for losing a castle with an estimated value of 600K, the lost relation was 30 previously, now it is 3. This was causing big relation drops when a settlement was lost and which in turn caused clans to defect because of this loss in relation.
    • An influence penalty has been added for if a settlement is lost (25 for a castle, 50 for a town).
    • Fixed a bug that prevented the player from receiving a relation benefit after helping a lord they had met previously.
    • Cavalry advantage in simulations is reduced to 20% from 30%
    • Mercenary groups in taverns have increased in size (2x) and their average level has increased.
    • When a smelted item had a modifier, the wrong item could be removed from the inventory. It could also create instability in the inventory. This was fixed.

[Spoiler] So i just killed a 700 man enemy army, alone!

    Posted: 06 May 2020 02:14 AM PDT

Decided to "declare a WAR on" someone.
Went to meet his army and attack it and make it a starting point for this war.
Just before i meet him on field, he meets like a "small looter group".
As i am just behind him so i meet him on the field as helping party.
While every one is happy that they "won" i accidentally head shoot one of the enemy archers trying to aim for last looter.

Going this track i accidentally head shoot remaining troops replenishing arrows, bolts, throwing weapons from corpses.

At the end he thanked me for helping him.

Gained a lot of levels, also declared war on the 2nd army he had.

It is not a bug, it is a feature!

What’s up with the admins on the EA(East Asia) server ?

    Posted: 05 May 2020 09:17 PM PDT

Apparently players are getting perma banned from multiplayer for saying things against the Chinese government or having a winne the Pooh avatar on EA servers. Is this true? Someone got banned for 10 years! I'm not sure if any of this is true, does anyone know what's going on?

I like the new autoresolve but theres a big flaw

    Posted: 06 May 2020 07:46 AM PDT

I like the new autoresolve that allows even looters to have a chance to kill. But.. I've veen doing some testing and it seems like in most cases you will lose atleast one man. It would be fine, IF it wasn't always an elite unit.

The autoresolve has only killed elite units against looter groups and that is fucking dumb. I've yet to lose a single recruit or other lower tier unit but instead it's always a T5-T6 unit that gets killed and that is so weird.

Please be patient with this game

    Posted: 05 May 2020 03:10 PM PDT

The majority of people in this community are great and understand what EA is and how hard the devs are working.

However I notice others who can't seem accept this game is far from being completed. I don't like to beat a dead horse, but it's called Early Access for a reason.

Taleworlds have said their focus is stability and performance improvements over adding new features to the game at this time. Until features are tested and stable, they won't be added. Please stop saying the game isn't good enough because it lacks features that are broken or missing. The reality is they wont be added over the next few weeks, but more likely the next few months or even years. Like any player, of course I want more content and I check this sub daily for news on the next update.

You're barely 1 month into an EA game. Appreciate what you have, rather than what you don't. Also please appreciate that the devs working hard and have been releasing updates on weekends, all while WFH during this global crisis, so that the game is playable for you.
