CC Wrap Up - Right of Khanquest

    Posted: 04 Jan 2020 03:06 PM PST

It is the morning of battle. Isla Khan walks amongst his men, grizzled veterans that were once loyal to Isaem and now serve him. He mounts his horse and signals the advance.

It is midday. Blood, battle, and bellows surround Isla Khan. A voice cries out "They're in the trees!". The grizzled veterans' loyalty did not save them.

Dusk begins to set as the battle has reached the city. Isla sees him, the young would be Khan seizes the throne. Enraged he charges his men aghast.

The last honor guard holds the line as Isla crawls his way across the rooftop when he sees her. The angel of death before him. With a kick he falls.

Isla lays in the street broken. The Purple Rider stands before the steps of the old keep as a chorus of cheers echo.

    "MILAN KHAN!"

    "MILAN KHAN!"

    "MILAN KHAN!"

Khergit Civil War: Isla vs Milan

When your swadian knight finally caught khergit horseman at battle location barrier

Found this randomly in velucas tavern. Is this something new?

    Posted: 05 Jan 2020 05:10 AM PST

    Yes, I know it's misaligned.

King Horik finally made me marshal, and with a ~1000 man army between me and Jarl Sigifrid, I conquered 40% of Wessex by just forcing garrisons to surrender. VC has some pretty OP mechanics.

We all love using terrain in MB: Warband in fighting. Rhodoks on top of hills to prevent cavarly charge, Swadian knights in open fields, Nord huscarls close under a hill to force archers to get close etc. What if we could build battlements before a fight in Bannerlord? Dig trenches put up spikes etc

    Posted: 05 Jan 2020 09:33 AM PST

    Something similar to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiCN9xdmo10

If we are incredibly outnumbered, perhaps you have high enour enigneering to be able to build dig a few trenchers or something or set up those walls with holes in them for archers. The more outnumbered you are, the less battlements you can perhaps build before the enemey will be close enough or something so you wont have a full trench every fight in the game. Would make each fight a bit more tactical instead of just the sieges.

    It's about floris expanded

    Posted: 05 Jan 2020 06:29 AM PST

I kinda miss the loot I used to get from looting caravans in warband (such as velvet, etc.), So I wanted to change the settings in order to get the loot that I got in warband since I don't get any of them from caravans in floris. Is there a way to do so?

For the first time ever, I conquered all of Calradia - what now?

    Posted: 05 Jan 2020 02:18 AM PST

    tldr: title

I decided to give native a go over the past weeks, made an impoverished woman noble and decided eventually to ally myself with the Nords and help King Ragnar conquer the world to see what'd happen.

Suffice to say tactics and war strategy is not the AIs strong point so if it hadn't been for me, the Nords would have been either eradicated or at a stalemate forever.

Anyway, one by one enemy factions got wiped out in this order: Swadians, Vaegirs, Rhodoks, Khergits, and then Sarranids.

I never intended on ruling myself, I just wanted to play the part of some kind of mysterious champion showing up and handing the world over to the king to see what he'd do with it. Maybe the kingdom would splinter into civil war or the king would be overthrown for someone else, or whatever.

Yeah, no. Turns out the king has banished every single noble in the entire realm, including ladies, now that the Nords are the only faction leaving only King Ragnar, me, and a couple of celebrity prisoners I've got stashed in Reyvadin (Sultan Hakim and King Graveth, and three other losers I forget the name of). I hadn't really noticed because already since the conquering of Swadia my screen was absolutely spammed with messages about lords leaving or getting kicked out of their faction for another, and then another, and then back, and so on I just stopped paying attention.

It's a really lonely world now and I keep getting invited to feasts where only the king and I are the guests and most of the time he picks locations so far off he loses interest and cancels the party before even arriving.

Despite all this, he's still completely uninterested in an alliance with my house because he's king and has other plans for his children (who aren't even present in Calradia anymore).

So, is there any point in continuing now? As in is there anything drastic that might happen in the game or have I "beaten" it now? I got both the achievements for conquering the world and for being queen of Calradia (although my character was never queen, just another vassal who happened to be female), I've got seven towns, ten castles, and two villages.

Feel like I have been skipped over several times in the Beta Quick Play?

The Waiting Players number will keep rising and will suddenly shrink down to 1 person. Wait times are kinda long also.

Any VC trade/easy money tips for starters?

    Posted: 05 Jan 2020 07:32 AM PST

I just recently delved into VC reforged (winter holiday without kid, kek), and currently playing at easy, but I soon learnt this is crazy profitable, playing with a Saxon, based in West-Seaxe:

    • Hire a few, 3-5 strong troops, e.g. Lancers to keep travel cheap, avoid
    • Do Fortress quests for money and XP + grind tournaments - fortress Reeves give usually manageable quests for loads of XP.
    • Buy up literally all the wool from villages while running around in South and SW England
    • May also buy Beer
    • Sail from Dunwic to Dorestad every week to sell stuff for crazy profits, back to London to sell stuff
    • If merchants run out of money, take wine or other equipment you need in exchange (can also get Jewelry) - wine has a great price anywhere
    • Sell wine over in England's cities

Avoid big battles and/or mercenary status in this initial roundup. Only attack small troops of outlaws, avoid Vikings in the beginning, but with good troops and with ok equipment you may even try to raid Viking hideouts.

If you lose men, London or bigger cities usually have good mercenaries lurking in the pubs to refill your band, but until you are well off, don't get more men or travel becomes expensive. Also don't go back more often than a week, you need time anyway to gather villages' wool and the Dorestad merchants to refill with gold. :)

This method made me crazy rich fast (around 40000 penningas so far in profits), in about 2 months of in-game time I made to level 6, have the best equipment (also won at tournaments/seized from Vikings), also for companions and just bought my first brewery to have a stable income.

Now that I powered up I'm starting to make reputation with local lords and the game is being REALLY enjoyable. Winning tournaments not easy however, I tend to lose half of them but worths the try. (Ok sometimes I cheat and load the game back... I'm a casual player dad, not such a great warrior.)

Any similar beginner tips? I played a bit with Norse and I suspect that Iron from Norway to Britain also pays off.
